Do You Enjoy Anime Fillers?

Here’s a new question for every reader out there in the new “Community Questions” series. This question is about if Anime fans enjoy the filler stories in their favorite series.
Note: This question contains mild spoilers for Bleach and Dragonball Z. Proceed with caution!
People say they suck, people say they love them. My opinion on fillers: they do have their moments. I cannot say whether they suck or not, but it depends on the outcome of a particular episode in the filler arc.
Here is an example: During the Bounto arc in Bleach, we see Byakuya actually taking care of Rukia. This was right after the Soul Society arc, where Rukia said that Byakuya didn’t look take one look at her since taking her in the Kuchiki clan. I know, I know…It’s Non-canon material. But it’s the part of the arc I really enjoyed, hence the reason they should explore more of Byakuya’s character.
However, there were a couple of things I hated about fillers, like putting unpopular (at least to me) characters together for long, dragged out fights, like in Dragonball Z, during the Garlic Junior arc. I wanted it to end so badly, especially since they showed Vegeta a few times during the arc (What can I say? After all, I’m a big Vegeta fan).
I understood how fans felt when Naruto had their fillers, but I don’t get the point of the fact the fans complain about it so much. They argue about it like it’s the last thing of anime on earth! Naruto had 50+ episodes of fillers, and Bleach is going through fillers at the moment with the Shusuke Amagai arc.
Fillers isn’t just compensation for unwritten material from the manga, they can provide in-depth explanation of characters, as well as surroundings of the series.
So…Do You Enjoy Anime Fillers?

It depends on how long and how does it effect the story. The long and dragging filler is sure not my favorite moment of the anime, but again it depend on the situation of the anime.
I really don’t like watching fillers especially when I anticipate too much what happens to the story next. I watch Naruto and am addicted to it but eversince they started showing Shippuuden fillers I just stayed loyal to the Manga. Although it wouldn’t hurt to watch the anime once the manga is finished.
